There are several convenient ways to reach Palanga depending on where you arrive in Lithuania or neighbouring countries.
• Q: Which airport should I use?
A: The closest airport is Palanga International Airport (PLQ). Vilnius (VNO) and Kaunas (KUN) airports also serve international flights.
• Q: How do I get from Palanga Airport to the city?
A: Take Bus 31 or a taxi (approx. 10 minutes) to Palanga centre. Some hotels offer airport shuttles.

• Q: Are taxis and ride-hailing apps available?

• Q: Are there direct bus connections?
A: Yes, direct buses connect Palanga with Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Riga. Average journey time from Vilnius: 4–5 hours.

• Q: Where is the Palanga bus station?
A: Klaipėdos pl. 42, Palanga.
• Q: Is there a train to Palanga?
A: A: Although there is no railway station in Palanga, it is very easy to reach by train. The nearest stations are Kretinga (12 km) and Klaipėda (30 km).
From Klaipėda, you can reach Palanga by bus or car – the journey takes about 40 minutes.
From Kretinga railway station, there are regular buses to Palanga, making the journey quick and convenient.

• Q: How long is the drive from Vilnius?
A: Approx. 320–340 km, taking 3–4 hours depending on traffic.
• Q: Which highways should I use?
A: Main routes are A1 (Vilnius–Klaipėda) and A13 (Klaipėda–Palanga).
• Q: Can I come with a camper van?
A: Yes, you can. You can park your campervan at the Palanga Camping, which is located in the Seaside Regional Park, 600 meters from the sea, 11 km from Palanga Airport, 21 km from Klaipėda Seaport, 5.3 km from the center of Palanga, and about 20 km from Klaipėda.

• Q: Is there a ferry option?
A: You can come to Lithuania by ferry from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and other cities and then travel 30–40 minutes by car or bus to Palanga. The seaport is located in Klaipėda, which is just over 30 kilometers from the resort town of Palanga. Information about arriving and departing ferries is available online or by calling the numbers listed below.
