Invitation to RYLA International Youth Leadership Event

Palanga, Sept 3–5, 2026

Dear Youth Leaders,

We are pleased to invite motivated young people ages 18-30 to take part in the BASRAN Baltic Sea RYLA 2026, taking place on 3–5 September 2026 in Palanga, Lithuania.

The Baltic Sea RYLA brings together young leaders from all the Baltic Sea countries who are passionate about leadership, sustainability, and the future of the Baltic Sea. The event will focus on raising awareness, sharing ideas, and strengthening leadership skills related to Baltic Sea preservation and regional cooperation.

Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia are (right now) the eight BASRAN member countries around the Baltic Sea – even though the countries belong to different Rotary Zones.

RYRYLA is more than a conference – it is an interactive learning experience. RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. It is organized by Rotary clubs and districts.

Participants in Palanga can expect:

  • Inspiring keynote speakers and expert-led sessions
  • Practical workshops on leadership and environmental responsibility
  • International networking with like-minded young people
  • Teamwork, discussions, and hands-on activities by the Baltic Sea

The event is closely linked to the broader Baltic Sea cooperation context, including initiatives such as the Rotarian cooperation network BASRAN, www.basran.eu , and offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your understanding of regional environmental challenges while developing your leadership potential.

We welcome young people who care about the Baltic Sea, sustainability, civic engagement, and making a positive impact on their communities.
